Illuminate

My brand "Illuminate" was created as an awareness campaign intended to advocate for children who are victim of sexual abuse. I designed four products: posters, buttons, tote bags, and activity sheets that showcase my brand and provide information on my chosen community. My brand "Illuminate" creates an accessible, intriguing, emotional campaign that inspires my audience to take action and recognize the issue of child sexual abuse.

When researching Child Sexual Abuse, I was deeply affected by the weight of the topic. This emotion shaped my early design process, leading me to create a poster series that conveys themes of isolation, vulnerability, and suffering. I built miniature houses and photographed a small bear within them, later manipulating color and contrast to emphasize loneliness and despair. The child-like handwriting typeface adds to the unsettling tone, reinforcing the humanistic and emotional approach carried throughout the broader campaign.
